We believe that prayer plays a major role in the eradication of injustice, and we invite you to commit to pray with us.

This Month's Prayer Points and Updates

  • The Dream School: Please pray for unity, peace, and wisdom as staff navigate a busy season of assessments and responsibilities. We’re grateful for a recent parent meeting on student progress and child safety (body boundaries and safe vs. unsafe touch). Ask God to keep us focused on our mission, to lead families to continue these conversations at home, to help students feel empowered and cared for, and to form a discerning school community that safeguards every child.
  • New Pilot in Senegal: Pray for Andy (country champion), Maria (project manager), the Mission Shalom Board, and new monitors as they train, coordinate with authorities, and form key partnerships to launch the pilot this month. Ask God for early favor and fruitfulness, courage and discernment at each step, and for the church in Senegal to rise in prayer, compassion, and advocacy as we identify and walk with the vulnerable in dignity and love.
  • Legal Advocacy for a Key Case in India: Please ask God to lead us to a wise, compassionate, highly skilled lawyer who will advocate faithfully for the victim and support her mother. Pray for open doors, unity with prosecutors, and for justice, protection, and peace for the family throughout this process.
  • New Leadership Study: Our spiritual care coordinators and project managers are beginning a study on Christlike leadership. Pray for deep heart work—godly character, endurance, and joy; the freedom to admit weakness, lean on one another, and depend humbly on God—and for ripple effects of freedom in their teams, families, communities, and among those at risk.
  • Justice Delivered in Uganda: We’re grateful for two recent convictions reflecting strong collaboration with police and courts: in Lwakhakha, a trafficker who deceived a young woman with a false job offer received 2 years, 3 months, and 2 days; in Busia, a suspect transporting a minor received 2 years, 2 months, and 23 days—a combined total of just over 4 years and 5 months. Pray for courage and protection for staff and police, healing and restoration for survivors, and a justice system steadfast in defending the vulnerable.
  • Rescue in Kampala: During routine monitoring, staff identified three frightened girls traveling with a stranger on a motorcycle; after discreetly sharing contact details, one reached out, revealing they’d been lured to Kampala by false job promises, confined, and told to wait for domestic work. Working with police, our team rescued all three, and five suspects were charged with Aggravated Human Trafficking. Pray for the girls’ recovery, continued strong staff–police collaboration as the case moves to the State Attorney’s Office, and wisdom and protection for all working to stop trafficking before it begins.
  • Family Homes Graduate: One of our graduates from our family homes in Nepal completed a bachelor’s degree in nursing at Gopalgunj Nursing College in Bangladesh, passed her licensing exam, and is seeking a nursing job in Dhaka. Please pray that she finds the right position to use her vocation well and make a meaningful impact in her community.

Looking to go deeper?

We have developed both a prayer list and a prayer card to guide you in your prayers for our work. Both resources are a perfect tool to print and use during your prayer times. The prayer guide and the prayer card below are organized into specific headings that outline the key areas we constantly need assistance in. You can read the prayers associated with each heading, or you can pray into the headings as you feel led. In the prayer guide, each heading prays through specific Scripture passages (highlighted in italics), giving us confidence that what we ask for is in line with the will of God.

Thank you for your prayers which we know have fueled our successes and impact. God has been good to us! Join us in celebrating the answered prayers listed above.
