We believe that prayer plays a major role in the eradication of injustice, and we invite you to commit to pray with us.
This Month's Prayer Points and Updates
- Expansion to New Countries: As we start new operations in Ghana, Guinea, Ethiopia, Rwanda, and Argentina, we ask for your prayers to empower, equip, and sustain the operations. Our work depends on collaboration with many stakeholders from government and NPOs, passionate subcommittees who oversee the work, faithful prayer partners who prepare the way, and brokenhearted monitors who go above and beyond to love and serve those who are most vulnerable.
- Advancement of the Gospel: As we demonstrate the love of God by intervening at someone's most important moment in their lives, we want to present the beauty and message of Jesus with power. Ask the Lord to open the doors for us to share the gospel and for the roots of His message to go deep into people's hearts.
- Five Months Left to Reach Goal of 450 Trafficker Arrests: With five months remaining and 220 traffickers arrested so far this year, teams continue working toward a goal of 450 arrests. Please pray that we would achieve this goal. Currently, our efforts are focused on uncovering trafficking activity and supporting law enforcement action against those responsible. Every trafficker removed from the network creates opportunities to prevent future exploitation and protect vulnerable people from being trafficked.
- Two New Stations to Begin in India: LJI had worked for almost seven years at a key transit hub in India and had conducted over a thousand intercepts during that period. Unfortunately in 2025, the program was closed by forces outside of our control. After much prayer and grace, we secured official permission from authorities two months ago to work at two bus stations in the city. This is a real win for LJI and our partner there as it is very difficult to obtain official permissions from the government to do this work. We pray that God will continue to keep this door open and that we will bear much fruit for His kingdom there.
- Government Approval and Expanded Anti-Trafficking Collaboration in Senegal: The Senegal team is awaiting approval from the national authority responsible for combating human trafficking. This authorization would allow the team to work more closely with authorities across Senegal, strengthen investigations, support arrests that could lead to convictions, and expand collaboration with partners in other cities to support safe and cost-effective repatriation of potential victims.
- New Site Launch Preparations in Benin: Preparations continue for the launch of monitoring activities in a new city in Benin, a location with strong potential for arrests and convictions. The project manager has already made an initial visit and is arranging a meeting with the authorities to explain the team's approach and strengthen cooperation ahead of the launch.
- Confirmed Arrests and Ongoing Investigations in Burkina Faso: The Burkina Faso team is following up on several trafficking-related investigations with authorities. At least eight suspects have reportedly been arrested, charged, and placed in custody, including cases involving the exploitation of minors and deceptive recruitment schemes. Investigations involving two additional suspects remain active as authorities continue building the cases.
- Conviction in Zambia: The Zambia team got its third conviction at one of their stations! This case involved two minors trafficked for labor exploitation in a nearby village. The suspect, a Malawian national illegally residing in Zambia, was found guilty by the Magistrate Court on February 20, 2026. The case was later committed to the High Court, where the court sentenced the suspect to 24 years in prison with hard labor on May 19, 2026. This is a significant outcome for the Zambian team, and a strong reminder of why legal follow-up, police collaboration, and case persistence matter after interception.
- Mozambique Awareness Campaign: Human trafficking continues to be a painful reality in several regions of Mozambique, especially affecting vulnerable women, children, and young people. Many individuals are exploited through false promises of employment, marriage, or better living conditions. The Mozambique team has an opportunity to participate in several awareness campaigns for young people and adolescents along with the reference group, community, and various community leaders. The purpose of these campaigns is to protect and encourage the most vulnerable, empower authorities and organizations that combat this crime, and bring greater awareness to communities as well as the courage to report these situations.

Looking to go deeper?
We have developed both a prayer list and a prayer card to guide you in your prayers for our work. Both resources are perfect tools to print and use during your prayer times. The prayer guide and the prayer card below are organized into specific headings that outline the key areas we constantly need assistance in. You can read the prayers associated with each heading, or you can pray into the headings as you feel led. In the prayer guide, each heading prays through specific Scripture passages (highlighted in italics), giving us confidence that what we ask for is in line with the will of God.
