However, data* suggests that 800,000 people are trafficked across international borders every year. That’s 2,191 individuals per day.
Love Justice fights to prevent human trafficking as it’s occurring through “transit monitoring,” which is, as far as we know, the world’s only tangible human trafficking prevention model.
Since 2006, we’ve intercepted over 57,000 individuals at strategic transit points to keep them free from traffickers. And our average cost per intercept is less than $200.
This May, what if together we could fund 2,191 interceptions? That’s $438,200, which could in theory prevent human trafficking across international borders for a day.
Give before the end of the month to help us fund freedom "one day in May."
While our effort will span the entire month of May, our special emphasis and celebration day will be May 22. Join us that day specifically to amplify the campaign and our ongoing fight to prevent human trafficking.
