Love Justice launched a podcast in May as a resource for those compelled by the love of Jesus to live justly and love mercy, and to inspire more people to work toward making "on Earth as it is in Heaven" a reality, even in the face of the deepest darknesses around us.
On the podcast, hosts Jason Dukes and Hannah Munn have conversations with various guests about different aspects of human trafficking.
“We don’t just want to talk about Love Justice and our work [though] we think it’s really beautiful and challenging and hard and impactful,” Dukes said, “but we also want to champion other people in the space.”
Munn quoted Gary Haugen, the CEO of International Justice Mission (IJM), who said, “The victims of injustice in our world do not need our spasms of passion; they need our long obedience in the same direction—our legs and lungs of endurance; and we need sturdy stores of joy.”
Fighting injustice is certainly not a quick fix. A single protest, petition, donation, fundraiser, or awareness campaign probably won’t be enough to bring a complete end to any one particular injustice—but over time, with persistence and humble learning, change is more than possible.
Munn said, “What I hope will be cultivated in these conversations in these podcasts is just an invitation and an entry point for people to participate in the long walk of justice and consistency.”

Episode 1: Bryan Olesen
Bryan Olesen was a top-five finalist on NBC’s The Voice (2024), but he’s also been a longtime supporter of Love Justice. In this episode, Olesen shares about his journey from starting out as a guitarist for the Newsboys, to having his own band, VOTA, and using it for the glory of God as he partnered with Love Justice to set people free from human trafficking.
“I remember our goal was $150,000 to raise for that [funding five border stations for transit monitoring in South Asia]. And we raised a little over $180,000 I think. And the news of hitting that goal came on my 40th birthday. And on my 40th birthday, I thought my life was over and God was never going to use me again. So it was such a cool God moment of Him saying, ‘I'm with you; I'm walking with you on this.’ And that just kind of exhilarated me to dream and do more…” –Olesen
Episode 2: John Molineux
In this episode, LJI’s Founder and CEO John Molineux shares about starting Love Justice as a young man fresh out of college and how it has evolved over the years as he constantly pursues impact, strategizing to cause a tipping point that leads to the collapse of the human trafficking industry.
“I would describe my story as just encountering God's heart for justice in the scriptures, and that leading me to learn about and seek to face up to injustice in the world. And then, as I did, having my heart broken over what I learned about injustice, and then, like a bumbling idiot, stumbling into every pitfall under the sun, making every possible mess of things, and kind of being forced to confront ways that the brokenness of the world and sins in my own heart combined such that it was so hard to make an impact and so easy to do harm. … We’ve learned a lot of things along the way…” –Molineux
Episode 3: Natalie Brunell
Natalie Brunell is an Emmy-winning investigative journalist and Bitcoin podcast host, speaker, and educator. In this episode, she shares how Bitcoin can provide financial freedom and empower potential trafficking victims to stay safe, prevent potential traffickers from resorting to crime for income, and multiply funds for anti-trafficking organizations.
“I think if more people were economically empowered and had hope and weren't so stressed out financially, they might not resort to crime. I really believe that. … They would not resort to drug trafficking or human trafficking or anything else. I think a lot of people who end up there probably do so because they're really desperate for money. … Victims and anyone involved can empower themselves by having Bitcoin, by being able to potentially pay someone in a situation so that they can get out, they can flee, they can escape. In the worst-case scenarios, if we don't have monetary freedom, we don't have freedom at all.” –Brunell
Episode 4: Briony Fickling and Sean Mullens
In this episode, Love Justice’s Senior Director of Anti-Trafficking Briony Fickling and Champion of Recruitment Sean Mullens join the podcast to discuss what makes LJI’s strategy against trafficking so incredibly exciting and impactful.
“[This model] can actually disrupt human trafficking forever. I am 1,000% convinced … but it can only fully disrupt the system once we reach a tipping point. Right? And we don't know where exactly that tipping point is. … Because it's so cost-efficient, there is a real probability that if we continue expanding at the rate that we're going … there is this promise of actually being able to fight this world's greatest injustice to the point where we no longer have to fight anymore. … It is not only possible with this model, it is probable if we continue along the trajectory that we're going. … So for me, it's really exciting. It's a matter of time; it's a matter of resources in terms of when we get to that tipping point. But that's why I'm here. That's why I don't see myself going anywhere until we reach that tipping point, because I'm convinced.” –Fickling
