In 2005, Love Justice International set out to follow Jesus where the need is greatest.
That led us to a radical idea a year later in 2006: stopping human trafficking before it happens.
Today, we’re celebrating an extraordinary milestone, and we couldn’t have done it without supporters like you: 100,000 people intercepted before exploitation could begin.
Each number, a life of infinite worth.
As we prepare to gather with family and friends this Thanksgiving, our hearts are full of gratitude—for the lives protected, the traffickers stopped, and the hope of Christ shared with His children around the world.
God is at work, and He’s using people like you to change what’s possible.
Because of your prayers, generosity, and advocacy, 100,000 people have been intercepted before exploitation could begin. Can you visualize the sea of faces living in freedom today, enough to fill a large stadium? That’s the kind of impact you’re a part of.
But this milestone isn’t the end of our story. It’s the spark of what’s next.
Because even as we rejoice in what God has done, we’re reminded that millions more are still at risk—waiting at bus stations, border crossings, and city terminals where traffickers prey on hope and desperation.
100,000 Stories of freedom
Every number represents a life, a name, a story.
And when you look closer, you see what 100,000 really means.
Meet Mariama*, one of the 100,000 whose future was rewritten before exploitation could begin.
Mariama was just thirteen when her aunt, struggling with poor health and poverty, agreed to let a neighbor take her to work as a shop assistant in another town. The offer seemed innocent—an opportunity to help ease their burdens.
But the job was a lie. The man who offered to take her had other plans. And as they traveled toward the border, one of our Love Justice monitors noticed Mariama’s nervous demeanor and stopped to ask a few questions. She hesitated at first, but when she finally shared her story, the truth came out.
There were no papers. No real job. And no one waiting for her on the other side.
Our monitor acted immediately, working with police to arrest the man on the spot and place Mariama in a safe shelter where she received counseling and care. Soon after, she reunited with her aunt and enrolled in school.
Her story could have ended in tragedy. Instead, it became one of 100,000 lives intercepted before exploitation could begin.
From one station to a global movement
When we first started monitoring, we had a handful of monitors stationed along a single border in Nepal. Today, we operate 57 monitoring stations across 17 countries, with 238 trained monitors standing watch in some of the world’s most vulnerable transit points.
Our transit monitoring model identifies signs of trafficking in real time, before the crime occurs—and it works. We know how to tackle a global injustice, and all we have to do is scale it.

The most cost-effective way to fight trafficking
It costs just $112 to prevent a person from being trafficked. That’s one of the most effective and efficient investments in freedom anywhere in the world.
But the reality is sobering: tens of millions of people remain enslaved today, and with every passing minute, more are deceived, coerced, or moved into slavery.
We can’t afford to lose momentum now.
Accelerating toward the next 100,000
It took us 19 years to reach 100,000 interceptions.
At our current pace—and with growing efficiency—we project it will take less than three years to reach the next 100,000.
We’re scaling fast: expanding our presence, training new teams, and deepening partnerships with law enforcement to bring traffickers to justice.
Each new monitoring station adds steady, determined pressure on the systems that allow trafficking to thrive. With every interception, arrest, and disrupted route, we make it harder and more costly for traffickers to operate. Piece by piece, network by network, the system of exploitation begins to collapse.
This is not an overnight victory. It’s a steady, accelerating downfall, fueled by persistence, courage, and the proven power of prevention.
Prevention changes everything. It stops trafficking before exploitation begins, meeting people at the crossroads of danger and hope and rewriting their stories in real time. It’s not just compassionate, it’s strategic. Every interception denies traffickers their profit, strengthens law-enforcement intelligence, and makes entire communities harder to exploit.
Launching our matching gift challenge
Now, we have an opportunity to multiply that impact.
To help us continue this momentum, a group of generous donors has launched a $500,000 matching gift challenge, fueling the next wave of prevention and freedom around the world.
That means your gift today through December 31 goes twice as far—doubling the number of people intercepted, the traffickers stopped, and the communities strengthened.
Every matched gift accelerates the downfall of trafficking and pushes us closer to a world where exploitation has nowhere left to hide.
Be Part of What Happens Next
We love celebrating milestones, especially our biggest one yet. But this milestone is also a call to action.
Let’s reach the next 100,000 faster than ever before.
Let’s make freedom the norm, not the exception.
Let’s stand against the darkness until human trafficking is no more.
From all of us at Love Justice International, thank you for believing that every life is worth fighting for.
Because of you, 100,000 stories have been rewritten—and countless more are still waiting to be changed.
Your prayers, generosity, and partnership make this work possible.
Here’s to the next 100,000 lives—and the freedom that follows.
